Nella sua lunghissima carriera discografica, durata quasi 60 anni, Leopold Stokowski ha registrato non meno di 3 volte le sue trascrizioni bachiane, ottenendo sempre un notevole successo di pubblico, fino a quella vera apoteosi che \u00e8 stato l\u2019inserimento in Fantasia<\/i> di Walt Disney della sua versione orchestrale della celeberrima Toccata e Fuga in Re minore per organo di Bach. La registrazione che presentiamo \u00e8 la sua prima versione stereo effettuata negli Stati Uniti alla fine degli anni Cinquanta, che sar\u00e0 poi seguita, negli anni Settanta, da una ulteriore versione Decca. A detta dei critici, questa versione americana \u00e8 la pi\u00f9 bella e la pi\u00f9 suggestiva delle tre. Noi la ripresentiamo per via del fascino indiscutibile che tali elaborazioni musicali esercitano in modo inequivocabile, trasformando Bach in un autore molto pi\u00f9 vicino alla nostra sensibilit\u00e0 di quanto non faccia la sua musica originale. Sul secondo CD abbiamo aggiunto brani di Debussy, Respighi e Martin, da molto tempo introvabili sul mercato corrente.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
