Ha iniziato lo studio del pianoforte all&rsquo;et\u00e0 di sei anni con la madre sostenendo il primo concerto a soli nove anni. \u00a0Nel 1987 vince il primo premio al Concorso \u201cSteinway\u201d di Amburgo e l&rsquo;anno successivo vince il primo premio al Concorso \u201cJugend Musiziert\u201d in Hannover; mentre nel 1991 risulta vincitrice del primo premio al Concorso \u201cHamburger Instrumental Wettbewerb\u201d (LTM) in Germania. Nel 1994, a diciassette anni, \u00e8 stata notata dal mondo musicale per la sua interpretazione del Concerto n\u00b02 per pianoforte ed orchestra di Camille Saint-Saens eseguito durante le \u201cGiornate internazionali di pianoforte di Goslar\u201d in Germania. Nello stesso anno \u00e8 la pi\u00f9 giovane vincitrice del concorso \u201cChopin\u201d delle Scuole Superiore di Musica della Germania a Colonia, e rappresenta la Germania insieme ad un\u2019altra partecipante al celebre Concorso Internazionale Chopin di Varsavia. Nel 2000 riceve in Austria la borsa di studio \u201cBosendorfer\u201d e nell\u2019anno accademico 2000-2001 la borsa di studio del Ministero austriaco dell\u2019Educazione, delle Scienze e della Cultura per meriti artistici. Tra 1993 e 1995 ha studiato alla Scuola Superiore di Musica e Teatro di Hannover sotto la guida del Maestro Konrad Meister, per poi proseguire gli studi nel 1996 alla Scuola Superiore di Musica di Friburgo con Michel B\u00e9roff ottenendo il suo diploma d&rsquo;insegnante di pianoforte nel 1997. Ha ultimato la formazione al Mozarteum a Salisburgo nella classe del Professor Hans Leygraf dove si laurea nel 2001 come concertista con il massimo dei voti ottenendo il titolo di &lsquo;Magister artium&rsquo;. Nel 2002 viene invitata a incidere un CD per la casa discografica \u201cArs Musici\u201d che ha come contenuto gli interi \u201cEtudes-tableaux\u201d di S. Rachmaninov ricevendone lusinghiere critiche. Nell\u2019estate del 2003 vince il primo premio al 10\u00b0 Concorso Internazionale \u201cJohannes Brahms\u201d a Poertschach in Austria mentre nel 2004 \u00e8 finalista sia al Concorso Internazionale \u201cConcerti in Villa 2004\u201d a Vicenza sia al Concorso Internazionale \u201cRina Sala Gallo\u201d a Monza. Nello stesso anno viene invitata da Elzbieta Penderecka a partecipare al prestigioso \u201cFestival Pianistico\u201d a Varsavia. Nel corso degli anni ha inoltre frequentato corsi di perfezionamento con Halina Czerny-Stefanska, Lara Vodovoz, Nina Tichman, Alexander Lonquich, Karl-Ulrich Schnabel, Eli Perrotta e Andrzej Jasinski. Dal 1987 ha tenuto numerosi concerti sia come solista che con orchestra in Italia, Germania, Olanda, Austria, Svizzera e Polonia. E stata invitata a suonare come solista tra l\u2019altro con l\u2019Orchestra del Teatro Coccia di Novara, l\u2019Orchestra \u201cI Pomeriggi Musicali\u201d di Milano, l\u2019Orchestra del Teatro Olimpico di Vicenza, l\u2019Orchestra Filarmonica \u201cMihail Jora\u201d di Bacau e l\u2019Orchestra del Teatro Civico di Hildesheim. Suona in diverse formazioni cameristiche tra cui la violinista Anna Nenasheva, il flautista Ivan Rondano, l&rsquo;attore Roberto Sbarratto (voce recitante) ed il soprano Valentina Pennino. Dal 2015 e&rsquo; nata una collaborazione con il Quartetto Effe di Torino che si dedica alla preparazione di concerti per pianoforte ed orchestra, trascritti per Quintetto d&rsquo;Archi<\/p>\n<p>ENGLISH VERSION<\/p>\n<p>The pianist Marlena Maciejkowicz was born in Szczecin, Poland. In 1979 her family emigrated to Germany. Actually she lives in Vercelli, Italy. She got her first piano lesson by her mother at the age of six and gave her first solo concert at the age of nine. She began her studies at the Hanover College of Music and Theater with Prof. Konrad Meister at the age of seventeen. In 1996 she continued her studies with Michel B\u00e9roff at the Freiburg College of Music, graduating in 1997. She subsequently studied in the masterclass of Hans Leygraf at the University Mozarteum Salzburg, earning her master\u2019s degree with highest honors in 2001. Several masterclasses during her studies rounded off her training (Andrzej Jasinski, Halina Czerny-Stefanska, Alexander Lonquich, Karl-Ulrich Schnabel and Nina Tichman, among others). Since childhood she has been a winner of numerous national and international prizes: In 1987 Marlena received first prize at the Steinway Competition in Hamburg, in 1988 first prize at the Lower-Saxony \u201cJugend musiziert\u201d competition, and in 1991 first prize at the Hamburg Instrumental Competition. The then seventeen-year-old was chosen to perform in 1994 Camille Saint-Saens Second Piano Concerto at the International Goslar Piano Days. That same year she became the youngest prizewinner at the Chopin Competition of the German Colleges of Music in Cologne, and represented Germany at the Warsaw Chopin Competition. In 2003 she received first prize at the \u201cInternational Brahms Competition\u201d in Poertschach, Austria, and in 2004 she became prizewinner at the International Piano Competition \u201cConcerti in Villa 2004\u201d in Vicenza (Italy) and at the International Piano Competition \u201cRina Sala Gallo\u201d in Monza (Italy). Marlena Maciejkowicz has made a name for herself through numerous recitals in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Italy, Poland and Switzerland. As soloist she was invited to give performances with the Orchestra of the Teatro Coccia Novara (Italy), the Orchester \u201cI Pomeriggi Musicali\u201d from Milano, the Orchestra of the Teatro Olimpico of Vicenza, the Bacau Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Stadttheater Hildesheim. \u00a0 In 2000 she received the Austrian Bosendorfer Scholarship, and in 2000-2001 she was awarded a scholarship from the Austrian Ministry of Education, Science, and Culture. That same year she was invited by Elzbieta Penderecka to perform at the established International Piano Festival in Warsaw. Marlena\u2019s first solo CD (2003) \u00a0with the Etudes-tableaux by Rachmaninov received outstanding reviews of the classical music press. Besides her solo career she is passionately involved in playing with several chamber ensembles.
