Allievo di Piero Rattalino al Conservatorio \u201cG.Verdi\u201d di Milano e di Lazar Berman e Franco Scala all\u2019Accademia \u201cIncontri col Maestro\u201d di Imola, nel 1993 vince la Gold Medal al Concorso Van Cliburn in Texas. Ha collaborato con direttori come Sir Yehudi Menuhin, Vladimir Spivakov, Zubin Mehta, Eliahu Inbal, Stanislav Skrowachevsky, Gianadrea Noseda, Roberto Abbado, Riccardo Chailly, Vladimir Ashkenazy. Si \u00e8 esibito al Teatro alla Scala di Milano, alla Carnegie Hall e la Avery Fisher Hall di New York, e in numerose sale e teatri nelle Americhe, in Giappone e Cina. Per lui Luis Bacalov ha scritto, su commissione dell\u2019Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano, un Concerto per Pianoforte e Orchestra, eseguito da Pedroni con sul podio l\u2019autore. Dal 2007 al 2016 \u00e8 stato artista in residence dell\u2019Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano con cui nel 2015 ha debuttato come direttore ottenendo grandissimo successo con un programma dedicato alla musica di John Williams per Star Wars.<\/div>\n
\u00c8 direttore artistico dell\u2019Alagna Music Festival che si tiene ogni anno ai piedi del Monterosa. Ha collaborato con Philips-Classics, La Bottega Discantica, Lol. Per Decca ha inciso il Concerto in mi di Nino Rota \u201cPiccolo mondo antico\u201d con Giuseppe Grazioli e l\u2019Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano; per Var\u00e8se Sarabande l\u2019album John Williams Themes and Transcriptions for piano, seguito da John Williams Reimagined, in trio con Sara Andon e Cecilia Tsan per Warner Classics; per Sony Classical Cinema Morricone, ancora con la flautista americana Sara Andon.<\/div>\n
