Questo Album raccoglie alcune prime incisioni mondiali di un compositore che troppo a lungo è stato considerato espressione della sola musica jazz. È questo l’omaggio a un artista in grado di fondere nelle sue composizioni diversi generi e coniugare le esperienze di giganti del repertorio classico, quali Bach e Debussy, con quelle di Bartok e Ligeti. Egli stesso, con la sua frase “This is… music”, sembra non voler catalogare le sue composizioni né in uno né in un altro genere.

This Album gathers some world premiere recordings by a composer who for too long has been considered an expression of solely jazz music. This is the homage to an artist able to merge different genres in this compositions and to combine the experiences of giants of the classic repertoire such as Bach and Debussy, with those of Bartok and Ligeti. With the phrase “This is…music”, he shows that he does not want to categorise his compositions in a specific genre.
